SCHOOL CARETAKER
G04 £21,189 - £21,575 pro rata
£10.98 - £11.18 per hour
16 hours per week, 52 weeks a year paid at caretaker rate.
There may be the potential to increase caretaking hours in the future.
Standard hours of work during term time are 7.15am - 8.15am and 3.45pm - 6pm
The Governing Body at Park C.P. School Llay are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious permanent caretaker.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, organised person who would play a key role in maintaining the school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
You will be responsible for keeping the school secure, be able to carry out minor maintenance repairs, carry out safety checks as required and ensure accurate records are maintained.
As the main key holder, you will also be responsible for the daily unlocking and locking of the school.
You will organise the efficient removal of waste from the building and the grounds, including recycling, and ensure that the outdoors are kept clear of weeds, litter and debris. You may be expected to attend school as necessary outside of normal working hours in cases of alarm activation or other emergency.
Annual leave must be taken during school holidays. Hours of work during school holidays can be agreed in advance with the Headteacher, however, the last Friday of every holiday is worked.
Experience and qualifications desirable, however full training will be given.
