Role Title : Lecturer - Industry Electrical

Location : Deeside

Contract Type : Full time/Fixed Term - 1 Year

Salary: £28,751 - £44,442 salary is dependent on experience and a salary assessment

We are now searching for a Lecturer in electrical installation to deliver commercial Industry Electrical courses to external businesses, organisations, customers, and learners across a variety of backgrounds and skill levels.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience and competence within electrical installation and hold a level 3 as a minimum.

As a Lecturer at Coleg Cambria you will be required to deliver both practical and classroom based learning to our students. You will also be responsible for enrolling students on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities as well as ensuring the safety and welfare of our students at all times.

You will be required to work with and liaise with external organisations regarding their training needs, and deliver accredited and unaccredited training. Some examples include -

• EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification

• C&G L3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installation 18th Edition

• C&G L3 Award in the Periodic Testing, Inspection and Certification of Electrical Installations

Course delivery can be made up of a combination of day courses, short courses, or longer courses, across a variety of days, evenings, and weekends, or any combination of this, as well as 1-1 Work Based Learning delivery.

Week to week contact hours will vary depending on current workload and with the aim of meeting the needs of employers.

You will be embedded into the WBL Construction department, working closely with the WBL Manager and their teams, who will help and support you in your role. The line manager for the role will be the WBL Manager.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter

• PGCE Qualified or willing to work towards

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Self motivated, well organised and able to work independently using own initiative

• Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own transport.

• Possess or be working towards Verifier award

• Possess or be working towards Assessor award
