Temporary Teaching Assistant – Level 2 (4 Posts)

Hours: 32.5 Hours Per Week - Term Time Only

Salary: Grade 4 - £21,575 x 76.82%, plus Special Class Allowance (£1,401 pro rata)

Required as soon as possible, for 1 year

Ysgol Tŷ Coch is a highly regarded, sector leading special school which caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties, Profound and Multiple learning difficulties and youngsters on the autistic spectrum. The school was judged to be ‘Excellent’ with ‘Excellent prospects for improvement’ by ESTYN in June 2017. The school currently operates from 3 sites. The main site is located in Tonteg with satellite provisions located in Buarth y Capel (Ynysybwl) and the Nantgarw campus of Coleg y Cymoedd. The successful candidate could be required to work on any of the school sites.

Due to an increase in pupil numbers and a change in the delivery of the curriculum, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint four enthusiastic and innovative Teaching Assistants (Level 2) to support high quality teaching and learning in our wonderful school. Experience of working with pupils who have additional learning needs (ALN) is desirable.

The posts will be available immediately although start dates are negotiable.
