Reporting to the Essential Skills Route Manager the key duties and responsibilities are:
• Carry out initial assessments and diagnostic testing.
• Contribute to the identification of barriers and assist learners in overcoming these barriers
• Delivery of induction training on entry to programme.
• Preparation and delivery of literacy, numeracy and digital literacy training sessions within workshops or one to one, to achieve qualifications within the learners individual learning plan (ILP)
• Carry out all preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities.
• Fully engage learners and employers in the learning process
• Maintain quality standards as defined by internal and external assurers
• Maintain accurate, up to date records of all assessment activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will hold a PGCE/Cert Ed, Essential Skills Practitioner and an TAQA/IQA (or equivalent) qualification.
