St Thomas Community Primary School: Caretaker

The Head Teacher and Governing Body of St Thomas Community Primary School are seeking to appoint two responsible and reliable people to work as caretakers across the school site. As an active community school, with an onsite public library, health visitor and community lettings, the school is open outside of school hours and term time.

You will need to be:
  • Flexible, as working hours will involve a mixture of mornings, evenings, weekends and school holidays.
  • Responsible for key holder duties.
  • Aware of and respond to Health and Safety issues.
  • Able to assist in maintaining and improving the appearance of our school building and outdoor environment.
  • Able to use basic DIY skills eg painting and minor repairs.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to use your own initiative to deal with issues as they arise on the premises.
  • In possession of good communication skills.
  • Approachable and professional.
  • Willing to undertaken any necessary training to undertake the role.
