Ty Dysgu is a happy school situated in Dowlais set in pleasant grounds.

We aim to develop reflective, ambitious and confident learners who seek and enjoy challenges. We encourage everyone to be creative, innovative and independent.
The Management Committee of Ty Dysgu Pupil Referral Unit are seeking applications from suitably qualified teachers to take responsibility for this Foundation Phase LRB class. An enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher is required to work with pupils age 5-7 having a range of Social, Emotional, Behavioural Difficulties and other Additional Learning Needs.

The successful candidate will:
Be an excellent classroom practitioner
Be caring, positive and make our children's learning fun and enjoyable
Be highly motivated and hold high expectations of our children's wellbeing, achievements, and attitudes to learning
Be able to work as part of a committed hard working team.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, the Management Committee and the wider community.

A relevant qualification in the field of special education will be an advantage also experience in the field.
A candidate without special needs qualifications, if appointed, would be required to give an understanding to follow an appropriate course of training, whenever the LA could make the necessary arrangements.
