Teaching Assistant Level 3 Supporting & Delivering Learning - Stebonheath School

The Head Teacher and Governors of Stebonheath Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of the Class Teacher and Phase Leader in this warm, friendly and popular school.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• To support pupils in class and those with additional learning needs.
• Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
• Attend to pupils' personal needs including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid, toileting, feeding and mobility.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom.
• Promote independence and self-reliance.
• Work with the teacher in lesson planning and creating a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
• Provide the teacher as requested with oral and/or written feedback on pupils' progress and achievement.
• When requested, undertake marking of pupils' work and accurately record achievement/progress.
• Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
The successful applicant will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council for Wales before appointment.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
