About the role
Ysgol Gynradd Aberteifi wishes to appoint a highly motivated Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCo) who will share our vision and commitment to ensure every pupil achieves their full potential at our highly inclusive school.

Our ALNCo will share and develop our vision for the school, have proven experience of being an excellent classroom practitioner, be committed to working in partnership with all stakeholders and have the ability to be an outstanding and inclusive leader who will retain the needs of our pupils at the heart of all decision making.

The post holder should:
  • Be an excellent primary school teacher, with a proven track record, with a positive attitude and the highest expectations of pupils' attainment and behaviour
  • Have the knowledge to facilitate the highest quality of teaching and learning
  • Have an ability to drive forward ALN developments in the curriculum
  • Be an excellent communicator and team player with a strong commitment to working in partnership with, staff, parent, governors and the wider community

The school has an exciting and innovative approach to teaching and learning and we are developing a creative person-centred curriculum on an ongoing basis which is tailored to meet the wide range of needs of our children who come from a diverse range of backgrounds.

You must have a commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and an ability to help us inspire our pupils. You must be able to demonstrate confidence, creativity, determination, drive, resilience, reflectivity, and great teamwork skills. Most importantly you will continue to build upon existing high standards at Ysgol Gynradd Aberteifi in partnership with the Head Teacher, Governing Body, staff, pupils and parents.
