Role Title: Lecturer in Project Management

Location: Northop

Contract Type: Permanent - Part Time (22.2. hours per week) Job share will be considered for this role.

Salary scale: £29,162 - £45,077 Please note this salary will be pro rata and based on a salary assessment and relevant experience or evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Scale

We currently have a vacancy for a lecturer in Project Management at our impressive Business school premises at Northop. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Management specialist to explore a new career in Commercial Training.

This position will cover PRINCE2 delivery (6th Edition 2017), Project Management and Agile training. The role will also input onto relevant modules of the Applied Business Management Degree, accredited through Swansea University, taught at Cambria Business School, Northop.

A broad range of experience within this subject area and PRINCE2 (peoplecert accredited trainer) qualification is required. If you hold the relevant industry experience and qualifications, but not the teaching / training qualifications, the College would consider supporting and funding this qualification for you.

Holidays are not fixed to the academic calendar as training is on demand from our Commercial Clients.

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified to at least Level 3 in a relevant specialist subject area
  • Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, C&G 7407, there is a possibility to gain funding to complete a teaching / training qualification at the College)
  • Be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques
  • Recognises and makes students aware of their strengths and development needs
  • Ability to assess the outcomes of learning and learner achievements
  • Able to prepare effective written and visual teaching materials
  • Show an appreciation of FE values and ethics
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
  • Be able to analyse and use key information to inform teaching and learning

Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
