37 Hours Per Week, 39 Weeks Per Year

The Headteacher and Governing Body of St. Joseph’s RC Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. Applications are welcomed from teaching assistants who are committed to children’s well-being and the raising of standards with a willingness to contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school. Applicants are requested to indicate their curriculum strengths/interests.

The post is offered full-time Monday to Friday on a permanent basis commencing on 1st September 2023.

- has an understanding and respect the principles of confidentiality.

- has the ability to deal calmly with different situations as they arise.

- has good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate well to children and adults.

- works constructively and flexibly as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities.

- has the ability to identify own training and development needs and participate in on-going training.

Short-listed candidates will be observed working with children as part of the selection process. Following the observation, a decision will be taken on whether candidates progress to interview.
