Llanmartin Primary School is a small school on the outskirts of Newport. As a school we are proud of our school values of Respect, Inspire and Nurture and have a strong collective goal that ‘Together we can Achieve’.

The pupils, staff and Governors are looking for an inspirational, highly motivated and forward-thinking class teacher to join our school team.

This is a 0.6 FTE, fixed term post required from 1st September 2023 pending pre-employment and safeguarding checks.

We are looking for somebody who:

• Is an outstanding practitioner to further enhance the teaching and learning at Llanmartin Primary School

• Is enthusiastic, motivated, caring and able to nurture children to achieve their potential

• Is passionate about providing inspiring, authentic and challenging learning opportunities for all pupils, which enhances their literacy, numeracy and digital skills across the curriculum

• Is able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the Curriculum for Wales

• Is a committed team player and role model with proven ability to lead and empower children and colleagues

• Is able to demonstrate and promote excellence, equality and high expectations of achievement and behaviour

• Is committed to their own professional learning and development

• Is able to build a relationship of mutual respect with the pupils, parents, staff, the Governing Body and the growing community

• Is able to bring passion, energy, enthusiasm and be driven to fulfil the role to the best of their ability

The appointment process will involve a lesson observation and a formal interview with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and our Chair of Governors.
