The Governors of Abercerdin Primary School are looking to recruit an excellent and enthusiastic Key Stage Two class teacher to join our supportive and highly dedicated team from September 2023.

Abercerdin Primary School is situated in Evanstown, Bridgend and currently, has on roll 186 pupils taught in seven classes. Our school motto ‘Llwyddo gyda’n gilydd’ ‘Together we can do it’ is threaded through all aspects of our school life.

Abercerdin Primary School aims to provide a stimulating, wide-ranging education which challenges all children to achieve, both academically and socially whilst feeling happy and secure.

The successful candidate will have confidence in delivering high quality lessons that maximise pupil progress, whilst engaging and inspiring our children to become immersed in their learning.

We are looking for a teacher who:

Has a passion for teaching and has a sound understanding of the Curriculum for Wales;

Demonstrates excellent practice and has a desire to improve their own practice further;

Who has high aspirations for themselves and the pupils they teach;

Is a team player with a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills;

Is willing to support the wider school community;

Could lead a curriculum subject area.
