As a professional learning lead school we pride ourselves on inspiring and empowering pupils and staff to thrive and grow to take ownership of their future. As a lead partnership school we work alongside Cardiff Met to support the Initial Teaching programme through professional discussion, research and enquiry, mentoring and coaching.

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed practitioner who:

  • To lead and deliver a high quality, inclusive professional development strategy for staff which allows their practice to flourish, using pedagogical strategies that secure outstanding outcomes for young people
  • Use evidence based professional learning models to further develop a culture of learning at all levels and supporting programmes that engage pupil voice in developing best practices
  • Work with school leaders responsible for curriculum development, progression and assessment, supporting leaders by informing curriculum decisions from a learning model perspective.
  • using research to inform and guide staff in the implementation of high quality pedagogical principles and to evidence and evaluate their impact; to focus on impact that most supports and benefits underperforming groups
  • plans and delivers high quality teaching and learning, with an ability to inspire a love of learning in children, facilitating learning to the highest standards
  • can work well in a team and independently, demonstrating strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • able to communicate pupil progress, building good relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community

Shortlisting will take place on Thursday 15th June, successful candidates will be informed of a lesson observation time to be held on either Tuesday 20 th June or Wednesday 21 st June. Candidates with successful observations will be invited to interview on Friday 23 rd June.

With a start date of September 2023 pending completion of pre-employment checks, please ensure that your governing body has accepted early release of your contract if you are successful at interview.
