The school motto, 'Be the best you can be' underpins what Grange is about and aspires to be.

The school sets high expectations and places a strong emphasis on empowering staff and pupils alike, creating a climate where pupils and staff thrive.

The Governors of Grange Primary are looking for a passionate, innovative and inspirational leader who has the necessary professional skills to build on the solid foundations and excellent relationships that are already in place.

The successful candidate must be a dynamic, resilient leader who would grow the existing vision for the school, whilst driving forward local and national priorities.

We are looking for a highly visible and approachable headteacher who must demonstrate:

  • A passion for supporting and improving the wellbeing of all.
  • A belief that all children, regardless of background or ability, can succeed.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to motivate and empower others.
  • The ability to look beyond the school gates and develop positive, effective relationships with families and the wider community.

In return, we can offer you:
  • A professional and caring team of staff.
  • Happy, engaged children who enjoy learning and wider opportunities.
  • An extensive, well-cared for physical environment.
  • Caring, nurturing environment that allows all pupils to develop positive aspirations and achieve high standards.
  • Supportive and engaged parents.
  • Dedicated and experienced governors.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning at all levels.

Applicants who are not already headteachers are required to have NPQH.
