Salary: £21,345-£22,806 per annum

Cardiff and Vale College are looking to recruit an enthusiastic HR Administrator to join their team. The main focus of this role is to provide a comprehensive range of high-quality administrative support for the HR department and both internal and external stakeholders.

You might be an experienced HR Administrator who is looking for challenge or alternatively you may have developed strong admin skills that you are thinking of transferring into a HR role. The role will involve various HR administration responsibilities and will give you the opportunity to develop a career as a HR professional whilst gaining hands on experience in a busy, fast paced HR team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • New Starter pre-employment vetting and compliance
  • Preparation of employment contracts and offer paperwork
  • New Starter Inductions
  • Data Inputting into the HR/payroll systems with all relevant staff information
  • Weekly reporting - Starters, Leavers, Sickness, Contract Changes etc
  • Recruitment administration
  • Note taking
  • Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
To be considered for the role, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals at all levels, both internal and external. The Ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and work with a high level of attention to detail is required. S/He must be able to multi-task and work to demanding deadlines to achieve agreed goals. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are vital for this role. Good IT skills and be particularly comfortable working with MS Word and Excel are essential.
