Assistant Principal Learner Experience

Assistant Principal Learner Experience

The College Merthyr Tydfil
The College Merthyr Tydfil is looking to appoint an Assistant Principal of Learner Experience who will play a crucial role in the achievement of the college vision and our ongoing journey to excellence, joining a dynamic team and providing a strategic lead for learner experience across the college. Working closely with the Principal, Vice Principal of Resources, Vice Principal of Curriculum and Quality and the rest of the senior management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the learner experience is excellent.

This is a designated senior post and the post holder will be the strategic lead for the learner experience across the college. The post holder will devise, deliver and implement strategies to pull together the varying strands of the broader learner experience into one coherent pathway with quality and equality at the heart of each strand.

The post holder will also represent the college on a number of Welsh Government, Colegau Cymru and Multi Agency Forums and advise and inform the Principal and Board of Directors about external developments, risks and opportunities, areas of good practice and areas requiring improvement within the college.

A key element of this will require the ability to lead and work effectively with colleagues across the college, creating an environment for learners and staff of high performance focused on success, whilst also ensuring that the college has a significant voice at local, regional and national levels.

This is an exciting opportunity to not only join one of the highest performing colleges in Wales, but also a college described by the First Minister Rt Hon Mark Drakeford MS as 'One of the greatest success stories of devolution'.
