Finance Officer
Our Finance Department is looking for a Finance Officer to join the team. The role of finance officer will support with facilitating and recording the day to day financial transactions of the company.
Salary Banding: £23,000 to £25,000
Location: Itec House, Cardiff
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Working hours: 9:00am to 4:30pm
What are the core responsibilities of this role?
• Managing all aspects of payroll, including processing monthly wage payments, statutory payments and associated administration
• The day to day transactions for the company’s pension scheme
• Accountable for the reconciliation of monthly and yearly trainee allowances, support costs and travel against profile and contract value
• Generating monthly support cost declarations
• Overseeing the breakdown and reconciliation of weekly trainee payments for Sage
• Responsible for the commercial sales ledger, including maintenance of accurate records and debt recovery
• Responsible for processing company bank transactions
• Accountable for overseeing monthly bank reconciliation
• Responsible for overseeing staff mileage claims
• Accountable for quarterly VAT return
• Responsible for finance processes of additional contracts as required
• Responsible for responding to general finance queries, both internal and external, as required

• Previous administrative experience
• Previous experience in a financial role
• GCSE mathematics
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Work effectively within a team
• Ability to deliver results
• Sage Line 50
• IT Literate – Microsoft excel
