Professional Learning and Development Officer

Salary Details: BS 22-25 BAR 26-29 (£25,554-£27,670 BAR £28,571-£31,746 per annum) This is an 8 point extended scale with progression incrementally on an annual basis. Please note, progression beyond the bar is dependent on an internal set of conditions. Commencing salaries will be assessed in accordance with the College's starting salaries matrix.
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week worked over 5 days

Contract Type: Salaried - Permanent

Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per annum plus statutory bank holidays & college efficiency closures

Qualifications: Hold a relevant minimum level 3 qualification. It is however highly desirable to hold a relevant level 4 qualification. It is essential to hold an ILM qualification at level 3. If not currently held, you will be supported to undertake and achieve these programmes/qualifications within a specified timescale.
You will have experience of co-ordinating staff development activities for a large organisation, ideally within Further Education together with substantive experience of management information systems and data analysis/reporting. You will work closely with key managers to develop continuous professional development (CPD) activities for all staff. You will be responsible for organising, recording, monitoring and reporting on all aspects of CPD, including the co-ordination and management of Aspire training days for staff, which take place throughout the academic year.
You will support with driving workforce development and continuous improvement by ensuring departments complete training needs analyses to ensure that they are current with their departmental training requirements.
You will demonstrate initiative, have an organised and structured approach to work and must have the ability to work towards and meet targets/deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator providing a high level of customer service to all staff.
This role will be undertaken on the College premises in Haverfordwest. The College has a flexible working policy but due to the nature of the role, home or remote working cannot be agreed on a regular or permanent basis.
