Flying Start Childcare Officer

G06 £24,054 - £25,409 pro rata

Temporary until 31st March 2025

32.5 Hours per week. Term Time Only

Wrexham Flying Start wishes to recruit a confident, highly motivated and knowledgeable Flying Start Childcare Officer to join our Flying Start Advisory Team. This vacancy is initially fixed-term until March 2025 with a possibility of further extension subject to Welsh Government funding. It is a term-time working post. The ability to work flexibly and to travel between various settings across Wrexham is essential.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility of approach; a strong sense of teamwork and a clear vision and understanding of what is quality childcare. Experience working within the Childcare sector/Early Years would be beneficial.

This post requires an excellent understanding of child development 0-4 years and well developed communication skills.

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is ESSENTIAL.

An enhanced DBS clearance is essential for working within the Flying Start team.

Post to commence as soon as the successful candidate can be released and subject to usual employment checks and DBS arrangements.
