Job description
The Governing Body of this successful Primary School wishes to appoint an experienced, inspirational and enthusiastic Headteacher who:

• is a highly effective leader with proven expertise in raising standards and providing strategic leadership and direction

• is effective in developing staff at all levels and can promote the school as a learning organisation
• has experience of sharing best practice across the sector
• has a clear vision to further develop the school whilst maintaining our nurturing ethos
• experience of effective management of multiple budgets
• has high expectations of pupil achievement and is successful in managing pupils' behaviour effectively
• will encourage pupils to lead their own learning and ensure that pupil voice makes a strong contribution to the strategic direction of the school
• has experience of using a nurture-based approach to develop pupils' wellbeing
• will lead and motivate pupils, staff and governors to create an effective culture of life-long learning and continue to develop the new curriculum in Wales
• is able to communicate effectively at all levels, with our children, parents, governors and staff, and can create a close partnership between the school and the wider community
• have an understanding of supporting EAL learners and families

This is currently a non-teaching headship with management responsibility of our specialist centres. We can offer you an enthusiastic and conscientious staff and governing body, who are committed to taking the school forward to ensure that every pupil achieves the outcomes of which they are capable.
