Job description
The governing body is seeking to appoint a motivational, experienced, enthusiastic and exemplary professional to work with the Headteacher by taking a lead ing role in managing and developing our School, alongside members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Our new Deputy Headteacher must share our commitment to high expectations and assist the Headteacher to lead our dynamic team in driving our school forward.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an innovative leader, able to engage with curriculum reform to design a curriculum to meet the needs of all learners.
• Have a proven track record of leading initiatives to raise attainment.
• Be committed to school improvement and have experience of leadership and management.
• Demonstrate and promote the values and dispositions of the Professional Standards for Teaching and Leadership in Wales.
• Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of learning and behaviour and have a passion to ensure that every child succeeds.
• Have a wide experience of working with children with additional learning and emotional/behavioural needs.

• Actively promote the welfare, wellbeing and safeguarding of all children.
• Be able to maintain, promote and develop the Christian ethos of the school.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to life-long learners and professional development.
• Work collaboratively with a committed team of staff and governors, parents and with the wider community, including the Diocese of St Asaph.

The successful applicant will be subject to a Powys County Council enhanced disclosure from the DBS and will need two references before they can take up the post.
