Project Manager - Multiply
Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Project Manager to join the Caerphilly Adult Community Learning team to manage the effective and successful delivery of the Multiply Programme.
'Through the Multiply programme, the UK Government is investing over £100m into Wales to help transform the lives of adults across Wales by improving their functional numeracy skills through free personal tutoring, digital training, and flexible courses.'
The Multiply initiative will deliver high quality, innovative numeracy interventions that meet the needs of local people and the national aims for Multiply.
For this role we ask that you demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria detailed in the application.
The Project Manager will be responsible for: the management of the team to ensure the effective implementation of the Multiply Programme across the borough; building and maintaining links with strategic partners in all sectors to ensure plans are aligned and integrated; the management and monitoring of budgets, including tracking and reporting outcomes to meet Programme targets; representing the Council as the Lead Delivery Body for the Multiply Programme at regional and national meetings and events; Identifying and fostering regional initiatives to enable the development of new opportunities for delivery and to meet local needs.
The Project Manager will have experience of contributing towards quality management in order to meet organisation, accrediting body and funding requirements; motivating and leading people towards rapidly changing objectives; implementing creative solutions to overcome obstacles; financial budgetary management; providing ongoing management information and progress reports against agreed targets; managing teams of people and communicating clear purpose and direction; collaborating with a wide range of partners and employers; project development; evaluating and measuring progress.
The Project Manager will have a sound understanding of strategic aims and ability.
