Fixed term
Community Learning is currently recruiting for Adult Tutors. Owing to a widening participation agenda, we require new part-time tutors to deliver day and/or evening classes/sessions throughout the borough of Bridgend (for face to face, online and blended delivery models – applicants should be able to participate in all delivery methodologies) for the following courses:
Basic Skills
Digital Literacy/Basic ICT
Digital Photography
Sign Language
Child Psychology
Stained Glass
Art & Drawing/Art & Crafts
French
Accounts/Book-keeping
Criminology
Retail
Fabric Crafts
Spanish
Horticultural & Floristry
Psychology
We would welcome application forms from other subject areas if appropriate.
Sessions/courses will be as the need arises and will vary in duration and number of sessions. Courses will include delivery through a variety of delivery models – online, blended learning approach and face to face and tutors are expected to provide continuing support to learners throughout.
Applicants should possess a professional qualification and/or experience in the relevant subject. A teaching qualification is also required, and a full driving licence and own transport is essential. It is a condition of employment that applicants are at a level 2 in literacy and numeracy.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people and adults is a core responsibility for all council employees.
Criminal records check by Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Is a requirement for this post.
A valid driving license is a requirement for this post.
