JGR Educate
To deliver and coordinate a range of wellbeing interventions and activities to promote the attainment and progression of students. To create and sustain relationships with key stakeholders to engage those students who are in need of support.

Post 1 This is a temporary position based in Neath for 21 hours per week over 3 days.

Post 2 This is a temporary position based in Neath for 23 hours per week over 3/4 days.

The role involves, but is not limited to the following:
• To work collaboratively with academic staff to increase student attendance and attainment through prevention and early intervention support activities.
• To contribute to the collection and analysis of transition data from feeder schools to identify vulnerable students and student groups that would benefit from specialist support.
• To provide wellbeing and resilience support to ensure the effective transition of vulnerable students into and out of College
• To identify appropriate wellbeing interventions including referrals to external specialist support for students who are identified as at risk of leaving.
• To develop wellbeing group activities to strengthen the resilience of students that require specialist support such as young carers and looked after young people.
• To work in collaboration with the Safeguarding team to provide a seamless student-centered support service.
• To keep up to date and accurate student records on the Student Intervention Log and the electronic student record.
• To develop and deliver a student-centered wellbeing action plan through six-week cycle of support.
• To engage with students through a variety of platforms including face to face and remote support.
• To work with Careers Wales and key stakeholders to ensure that students unable to remain on programme have an appropriate exit strategy;
• To participate in the organization and delivery of student activities such as Freshers Fairs, Taster Days, UCAS and student engagement events;
• To liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that students needs are met, and attend specialist reviews when appropriate;
• To provide an advocacy service for students when required;
• To provide a flexible and innovative approach to the support for students;
• To participate in student engagement, attendance and progression monitoring;
• To undertake relevant administrative and clerical duties as required.

Candidates should possess a level 4 qualification in relevant discipline and relevant experience. You should hold a level 2 qualification in both English and Mathematics (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 3. Experience of working in a student facing role is essential.
