Grade 5- £22,369 for 37 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £19,649.03 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £21,200.92 pro rata per annum after 5 years' service.

We invite applications for the positions of Pupil Support Officer.

You will be working as part of a team to address behaviour issues, both in and out of the classroom.

This role will also entail:

  • Supporting all aspects of improving and challenging learners' behaviour and wellbeing.
  • On call (on Rota) to offer assistance to teaching and support staff as requested.
  • Supervise IEU (on Rota)
  • Make daily contact with parents regarding all aspects of learner behaviour and hold meetings with parents.
  • To monitor/track learners' behaviour and ensure that class charts is regularly updated and provides an accurate record of learners' behaviour.
  • All administration related to behaviour: letters, report cards, emails to staff.
  • To run break/lunchtime/ after school detentions.
  • To provide Heads of Year and Mentors with weekly, monthly and termly reports on behaviour.
  • To liaise and communicate with the Heads of Year, Mentors and Heads of House.
  • Complete and submit referral forms for Inclusion Panel PLC places.
  • Complete and submit PSP for behaviour.
  • Prepare data and reports for SASP critical case meetings.
  • Make referrals to appropriate agencies as required e.g. Youth Justice.
  • To assist the Head of Pupil Support/AHT's with all aspects of the Behaviour Policy
