Welsh Language Support Officer
Full time (37 hours per week) and fixed term until August 2024 covering maternity
Salary scale 5: £26,183 - £28,748 per annum
Welsh Language Essential (written and oral)

Job Purpose: To work as part of the Welsh team, promoting and encouraging the use of Welsh language within the classroom on a daily basis. To support learners with all aspects of Welsh development.

In this exciting role you will offer opportunities for Welsh speakers and learners to learn, use or improve their Welsh language skills by facilitating informal programmes of activities and supporting them to successfully complete bilingual/Welsh-medium assessments. You will liaise with local and national practitioners to ensure vocational relevance and work with Cyfleoedd to develop further Welsh language placement, training or employment opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Welsh (written and oral) and it would be beneficial to have experience or knowledge of the use of Welsh in the workplace and using Welsh, motivating learners of all ages and backgrounds.
