Role Title : Health, Safety and Sustainability Specialist
Location : Deeside
Contract Type : Permanent - Full Time
Salary: £34,236 - £38,139
Coleg Cambria are now looking for a Health, Safety and Sustainability Specialist to join our Estates and Facilities team. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Sustainability Manager, you will work ensure the implementation of health, safety and sustainability arrangements and procedures across all sites designed to permit the College's undertakings to meet all contractual/legal obligations. To assist in the development of health, safety and sustainability arrangements and policies to exceed legal standards and introduce recognised best practice.
Establish/maintain accurate monitoring and recording systems and produce reports as required. Undertake HS&S audits, accident investigations, risk assessments, workplace vetting's and other investigations as required to be completed, producing reports and action plans.
Provide professional H&S support and advice to college staff .College manager and heads departments and external stakeholders as required
Essential Requirements
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.

Essential Requirements
- You must have a relevant degree or NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety (Level 6) or equivalent
- 3 plus years in a Health and Safety role
- Experience of implementing health and safety,up to date knowledge in a wide range of work activities and work places
- Up to date knowledge of Environment legislation and good practice in sustainability
- Experience of implementing health and safety systems , undertaking and managing projects
- Organising, implementing and providing health and safety training .
- You must hold a First Aid Qualification
- Must be competent in the use of IT systems and software packages as well as willing and able to learn how to use new software or systems.
- Previous proven experience of developing, delivering and assessing HSS standards
- Previous proven experience of leading, managing and coaching a HSS team.
- Able to work late nights and weekends if required
