Are you a confident, outgoing and energetic individual with a passion for making a positive impact on families and communities?  If so the Governing Body of Tremains Primary School have an exciting opportunity for you as a family Engagement and Grants Officer.

Tremains Primary School is dedicated to supporting families and empowering communities.  We believe that strong family engagement and access to grants are vital components in creating lasting change and improving the lives of individuals and families.  Our mission is foster collaboration, provide resources and promote family wellbeing through innovative programs and initiatives.

As a Family Engagement and Grants Officer you will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to support our initiatives and enhancing family engagement at the school.  You will work closely with community organisations, families and grant- making institutions to promote engagement, identify funding sources and develop successful grant proposals. 

The successful candidate will:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with families, community members and partner organisation;

Have experience of leading/facilitating/monitoring and evaluating initiatives for parents and families in a school/community setting;

Act as a liaison between families and the school ensuring effective communication and engagement;

Conduct outreach activities to identify potential grant opportunities and establish connections with grant making institutions;

Research, write and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding of the projects;

Manage and maintain accurate records of grants including progress reports, budget and documents required;

Have an NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent;

Be enthusiastic about speaking with and engaging families and be flexible in their approach to the varying demands of this role;

Be flexible and be able to work on their own initiative;

Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;

Be confident and outgoing.
