Lliswerry High School is a thriving, multi-cultural, 11-18 mixed comprehensive school on the eastern side of Newport close to the M4. We currently have a superb opportunity for a talented, passionate and highly motivated teaching assistant to join our school as part of our learning support team.

The successful candidate will be a strong team player who will be the lead teaching assistant in the school’s Learning Support Centre. You will work closely with learners with additional learning needs, delivering individual and small group intervention programmes.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering interventions to ALN learners. The ability to deliver the ELSA intervention would be an advantage but is not essential. In addition, you will have NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification. A professional approach to providing support and building positive relationships is essential in this role.

Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors.
