Early Language Intervention Worker

Caerphilly County Borough Council
Early Language Intervention Worker
Job description
The Caerphilly Early Years and Childcare Team is expanding across the borough. We are seeking to recruit an experienced worker to deliver our early language interventions in the home, in the community and virtually.

The support includes bespoke language intervention through Be Here Be Clear, Video Interactive Guidance as well as Let's Talk at Home programmes. All interventions are for children aged 0-3 years, aiming to help parents help their child's speech, language and communication development and support early identification. Families are supported to achieve what matters to them.

While the post is based in Parc Y Felin ICC, the successful applicant will be expected to work in an agile way across the borough in homes and community venues, as well as some working from home. This post is part of a wider Early Years and Childcare Team and partnership working is essential.

The successful applicant will be expected to learn basic conversational Welsh and will have experience in delivering packages of early language support in the home or community on a 1-1 basis. The successful applicant will have a relevant level 3 qualification and will have completed Hanen: Learning Language and Loving It, with updated knowledge of early language provision, other speech, language and communication training as well as child language development assessments.

This post is primarily funded under Flying Start and as such is fixed term due to the terms and conditions of the grant until March 31 st 2025.
