An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager - Cluster Development & Growth Programme within the CAVC for Business department at Cardiff and Vale College. This role will be based at the City Centre Campus.

Responsibilities include:
  • To drive forward and project manage the delivery of the CDGP project, ensuring project timelines and objectives are met, specifically:
      • in line with budget and funding guidelines
      • within risk and issues tolerances, reporting where necessary;
      • by report progress and achievements as necessary;
      • by undertaking effective monitoring and compliance of financial and non-financial aspects of the project;
      • by complete an evaluation of impact and lessons learned to determine legacy funding and delivery options.
  • To support the discovery phase and lead on the co-design of each Skills Intervention, working closely with industry and subject experts (internal and external), and HE and FE partners to produce an informed and evidence-based approach which addresses employer's needs.
  • To be a member of the Central Management Team, organising the regional delivery across all HE, FE, and industry partners, controlling clear lines of communications between partners, CAVC and the CCR (funding body). Furthermore, ensuring regular financial claims and delivery updates are collated from partners for consolidation and submission to the funding body.
  • To support Business Development, Marketing and Student Services teams in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure target participant numbers are met and administration of training allowance and barriers funding is easily accessible and closely monitored.
  • To support the Senior Manager for Funded Programmes & Bids in working closely with teams across College to support the development of a project management culture, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective delivery of the project.
  • Line management of a dynamic project team consisting of two Project Support Officers, with project management responsibilities for a number of HE, FE and industry project teams.
  • Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
