Support Officer (Inspire)
Job description
We are looking for a positive, caring individual who is keen to support learners who encounter a range of different challenges within secondary schools. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, patient and will have a good understanding of behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
As a support officer within the Inspire Team you will be working independently at a school location. You will manage your own timetable to ensure the young people on programme receive the level of support they require. The role offers bespoke one to one support to young people within key stage 3 who have been identified as those who are most at risk of becoming Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)
The successful applicant will be resilient, with a strong work ethic, and the ability to think outside the box. You will be working as part of the wider school improvement team, with a strong focus on improving the attendance, attainment, and behaviour of young people within a school context.
After reading the Job Description and Person Specification, if you would like to have an informal discussion about the role please contact Claire Howells on 07871733336.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Any application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
We are legally required to ask you to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK. Successful applicants are required to provide appropriate documentation such as a birth certificate, passport or work permit in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on all successful applicants. This will include an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
