Welsh Language Compliance Officer

The role:
As a member of theWelsh Language Development Team, the post holder will play an essential role in the development of Welsh language skills acrossGower College campuses to develop a Welsh medium / bilingual ethos. Providing advice to service areas on implementing the Welsh Language Standards and identify and disseminate examples of best practice in the delivery of Welsh Language Standards across the College.

- To be responsible for performance monitoring of College service areas for compliancy against the Welsh Language Standards under the Welsh Standards (No 6 Regulations 2017)
- As part of the monitoring process, to identify and investigate any non-compliance or poor performance against agreed performance indicators and report accordingly
- To investigate and research best practice across Wales and disseminate appropriately to relevant service areas
- Support the implementation of the college's Bilingual Development strategy
- An understanding of the Welsh language standards
- Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) Level 4 (Fluent)
- Welsh Literacy (writing/Reading) Level 4 (Fluent)
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
