The role:

Reporting to the Estates Manager you will be working as part of a resilient and robust Estates team assisting on variety of elements that contribute to the day to day operations of the department. The role will involve developing, managing and monitoring the Colleges procedures for statutory asset compliance inspections, equipment servicing and initiating corrective, reactive and planned works orders on a range of asset groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce reports on a weekly basis in respect of performance management and audits relating to statutory inspection and periodic testing.
  • Work with departmental technicians to identify and monitor any requirements relating to statutory inspection and periodic testing throughout all sites.
  • Continually strive to improve statutory compliance systems and provide effective compliance management support and guidance to College departments.
  • With the Estates Manager plan, schedule, co-ordinate and record statutory inspection and testing regimes across all college buildings to ensure they are fit for purpose.
About you:
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or willingness to achieve this within 6 months
  • Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent Maths and English qualification
  • Working knowledge of a range of statutory compliance issues and testing requirements as identified in the Job Description
