Please note, this an hourly paid contract which means that specific days and hours cannot be guaranteed - they are offered on a casual, ad hoc basis to fit the needs of the service and so may vary.

Unqualified: £22,904 - £27,030 per annum (pro rata, hourly paid)
Qualified: £29,162 - £45,077 per annum (pro rata, hourly paid)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and enthusiastic team at Bridgend College contributing to the education and development of the next generation of technical theatre professionals. As an Hourly Paid Lecturer, you will plan, develop, evaluate and deliver the curriculum content of programmes effectively and efficiently and providing mentorship to students pursuing future careers in technical theatre.

You should have an excellent working industry knowledge of production arts/backstage production, with strong knowledge and experience in technical theatre including (but not limited to) lighting design and operation, sound design and operation, video and projection, rigging and production or stage management. You should have a clear knowledge of the local and national industry, with experience of working with young people and/or a PGCE certificate (or be prepared to obtain this). With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population you will be passionate about motivating all learners.
