TEACHING ASSISTANT – LEVEL 2
Fixed Term Contract – Two Terms
The children, staff and Governing Body of Tredegar Park Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and caring Teaching Assistant (Level 2). The successful candidate will support the general classes but will also work in a one to one and small group situation with children with Additional Learning Needs and Behavioural Difficulties. Previous experience of working with children with Additional Learning Needs and Behavioural Difficulties would be preferred for this role.
There will also be an expectation to promote the development of the Read, Write, Inc programme through small group sessions throughout the day. The successful candidate will need to be sensitive to children’s needs and be passionate about supporting children to reach their goals. The successful candidate will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as genuine commitment to the overall care and development of all pupils.
Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with the Headteacher and members of the Governing Body.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).

There is a possibility of this contract being extended, but this is not currently guaranteed.
