Role Title: Lecturer in Plumbing, Heating and Gas installation

Location: Bersham Road

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £30,620 - £47,331 Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine

Coleg Cambria are excited to be recruiting a Lecturer in Plumbing, Heating and Gas installations to deliver our courses at Bersham Road.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience and competence within plumbing, heating and Gas and hold a level 3 as a minimum. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate empathy and understanding of a range of learning difficulties/disabilities as well as resilience, flexibility, patience and a sense of humour.

As a Lecturer at Coleg Cambria you will be required to deliver both practical and classroom based learning to our students. You will ideally have previous experience of supporting learners with additional learning needs in the classroom or significant relevant personal experience.You will demonstrate the ability to build good working relationships with learners and staff and have the ability to manage groups of learners and have a positive approach to challenging behaviours.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter

• PGCE Qualified or willing to work towards

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Self motivated, well organised and able to work independently using own initiative

• Possess or be working towards Verifier award

• Possess or be working towards Assessor award

• Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching

• Although it is not essential it would be preferable if candidates have knowledge and experience of working within a teaching or training context.
