The Agricultural Engineering and Agriculture department is located at Coleg Glynllifon. Students study full-time level 2 and 3 courses with the possibility of completing an apprenticeship with a suitable employer. Students enter the world of work by working for employers who offer Agricultural services eg. selling, maintaining machinery on farms or by contracting.
With guidance, the Practical Skills Supervisor will work to develop students' understanding and skills through planned practical activities. These tasks follow a scheme of work that develops during term time to establish students' competence so they meet the requirements of the course.
The department trains students in various aspects of agricultural engineering to do with the agricultural industry, including fault finding and repair of a wide range of general farm machinery. The Practical Skills Supervisor will assist and support lecturers in tracking and assessing learners' progress and offer guidance and support if appropriate.
