Estyn rated our school as Good in our 2016 Inspection and stated that, with respect to Wellbeing, "pupils feel safe in school". All staff play a key part in ensuring that this continues. The successful candidate will be offered the full support and resources of the school to develop professionally in a highly supportive environment with inspirational and supportive colleagues.
Governors at Dylan Thomas Community School are seeking to appoint a Learning Coach for our Training, Inclusion, Development and Engagement (TIDE) Centre which supports pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) as well as engages pupils with school phobias and attendance issues. Our on-site TIDE Centre is an alternative pathway provision supporting vulnerable pupils at KS3 and KS4 towards raising levels of engagement, improving inclusion, attendance and reducing exclusions.
The successful candidate will have a dedication to furthering pupils learning + development, together with the ability to use initiative and creativity, supporting the curriculum through agreed learning activities + teaching programmes. You will work as part of a successful team aiming to drive up standards and develop positive attitudes by managing the supervision of pupils who do not work to a standard timetable.
