School Experience Day

We would like to invite you to a Welsh medium school experience day which we will be holding at Ysgol Gymraeg Ystalyfera Bro Dur, Ynysydarren Road, Ystalyfera, Neath Port Talbot, SA9 2DY on Thursday, 4 July between 10.00am and 2pm.

Here is an outline of the experiences you will have:

• Overview of the PGCE programs and support of the Welsh language - Ysgol Gymraeg Ystalyfera staff and the University
• Experiences of a newly qualified teacher from our PGCE programme
• Observe both primary and secondary lessons
• Presentation by Educators Wales
• Pupil panel
• Q&A sessions

Please note:

• You should arrive at the school by 9.45am to allow time to sign in at the reception and to ensure that we can start the event promptly at 10am.
• Parking is free in the school car park.
• There will be a short break with light refreshments available mid-morning, but you should bring a packed lunch. There are a number of local food shops to buy your lunch on the day if you prefer.
• We reserve the right to cancel the event if there are not enough people register.
