Established in 1988, ACT have oodles of experience in delivering bespoke training for individuals and employers in Wales.
At ACT, we’re all extremely passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives by providing excellent learning programmes and opportunities – and all 372 of us come in to work each day to do just that.
We provide a long list of training programmes and qualifications that really help people reach their full potential. From Traineeships, Apprenticeships and Higher Apprenticeships across 30 different sectors, to employability training and short Commercial Courses, we have something for everyone and, this is the good bit, most of our training is fully-funded.

- Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS)
Develop the knowledge and skills required to meet the support needs of primary, secondary and special needs schools.
- Learning Support
Develop the necessary skills, knowledge and competence to better support pupils and motivate them to achieve their future goals. Including a range of qualifications aimed at supporting literacy, numeracy, language and ICT.
- Advice and Guidance
Develop the specialist skills and knowledge required to support young people in an advisory capacity.
- Learning and Development (L&D)
Develop how you currently facilitate learning in your classroom to enhance your future delivery methods, and create more effective lessons.
- Playwork
All children thrive through play. This qualification equips you with the skills and knowledge to best facilitate children to create and explore their own play experiences. Suitable for those working with children between 4-16 years old.
- Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development (CCPLD)
Gain fundamental knowledge of the new All Wales Induction Framework for Early Years and Childcare and raise the quality of your childcare provision. Suitable for those working with children under 8 years old.
- Digital Learning Design
Go tech with your teaching! Learn how to integrate digital learning into your classroom.
- IT USERS: Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools
Learn how to deliver digitally enhanced sessions in line with the Welsh Government’s Digital Competence Framework.
- Management
Develop your leadership and management skills with our ILM accredited qualifications.
- Mental Health First Aid (Youth)
Improve your knowledge of mental illnesses and their interventions, develop an understanding of appropriate first aid strategies, and gain confidence in helping young people who are experiencing a mental health problem.
- Paediatric First Aid
Aimed at individuals or groups who are responsible for the welfare of children in a professional setting, our Paediatric First Aid qualification will equip you with the skills and confidence to use first aid in a real life situation.
- Safeguarding of Children and Young Persons
This qualification will improve your knowledge of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace, as well as how to respond to evidence or concerns raised regarding the welfare of a young person or child.
