Residential Warden (Night), Term Time

Salary: £20,422.35 - £22,161.43 per annum, inclusive of holiday pay and 10% shift allowance

Job Purpose -

The College views the safety and wellbeing of its residential students as crucial in their overall learning experience and as such, this role will be responsible for the overnight care, welfare and security of the residents.

The Glanrafon Hostel Warden is responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and supervision of learners, primarily aged 16-18, with some over 18, during overnight shifts. This is an awake position requiring active monitoring throughout the shift. The Warden will address any safety concerns, report issues to the line manager promptly, and liaise with parents or guardians when appropriate, fostering a secure and supportive environment for all residents.

Holiday Entitlement

• 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years' continuous service (01 September to 31 August).

• All normally observed public holidays, determined annually.

• Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.

• Part Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above.

Term Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above paid as part of annual salary.

Working Pattern

32 Hours per week, 36 weeks per year

Please note - Weekly work pattern - 8 hours per shift, Monday to Thursday
