The Construction and Engineering Department at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor is a forward-thinking department offering courses in a range of disciplines. Teaching and learning take place with access to industry standard equipment and in modern facilities. Within the department, we have two sites; Hafan (Pwllheli) and CaMDA (Dolgellau), which both deliver Engineering qualifications.We are looking for a full-time enthusiastic member of staff to join the Engineering side of the department; who has experience in related fields such as product design / design and technology / physics / STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and upskill them within the College. We are interested in applicants transferring from industry or from KS4/5 teaching, or any other suitable professional background. We have an experienced and highly skilled team of engineering lecturers and are seeking a candidate whose knowledge and expertise will complement and add further value to the team. We currently deliver both Pearson BTEC National and Extended Diploma Level 3 as a two year programme along with the Pearson HNC Level 4 in General Engineering qualification. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high standards of teaching and learning and give ongoing support, advice and guidance to students that promotes success. We would like to work with you to develop your skills to offer the best experience to learners, and to help move the department forwards.
The post is based in Pwllheli, with up to two days per week in Dolgellau.
