Job Purpose -We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Computing and Information Technology to join our established and supportive team based at our Dolgellau campus. The successful candidate will teach across our FE (Further Education) programmes, providing high-quality and engaging learning experiences that help students develop the skills they need for industry and further study. Our learners study the two-year Level 3 BTEC in Computing and Information Technology and the Welsh Baccalaureate. Your duties will include preparing and delivering engaging lectures to our learners, along with the associated administration, assessment, and quality assurance.
Applications are welcomed from individuals with recent experience working in the sector.
If you are new to teaching, we will support you to gain a recognised teaching qualification in Further Education. You will also have access to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and mentoring.

Holiday Entitlement
There will be an entitlement to pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), which includes pro-rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro-rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro rata full time equivalent entitlement of 46 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.
Working Pattern
Up to 16 hours per week. Work pattern to be agreed depending on availability. Subject & Level of delivery are based on qualifications and experience
An additional percentage of between 10% - 63.33% (subject to criteria) will be applied to the contracted hours worked to reflect preparation and marking.
Weeks per year - 35 (during the college term)
