The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) department delivers life-changing language learning, integration support, and progression pathways to a highly diverse student demographic. Operating across multiple main campuses (including Rhos-on-Sea, Rhyl, and Bangor) as well as various community-based venues, the provision ensures accessible, high-quality education across the region.

The successful candidate will be able to

• teach ESOL at all levels
• provide high quality teaching and create effective opportunities for learning that will enable all learners to achieve to the best of their ability.
• Help to develop the ESOL provision to meet community demands

Holiday Entitlement

There will be an entitlement to pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), which includes pro-rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro-rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro rata full time equivalent entitlement of 46 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.

Working Pattern

Up to 20 hours per week available, Part time, hourly paid contract. Work pattern to be agreed dependant on availability but could include evenings and weekends. Subject & Level of delivery are based on qualifications and experience

An additional percentage of between 10% - 63.33% (subject to criteria) will be applied to the contracted hours worked to reflect preparation and marking.
